About Scrapbooks to Share
Scrapbooks to Share, LLC was founded in the spring of 2004 by Lise Orr out of a desire to fill a much needed service in the marketplace. Scrapbookers, like Lise, were creating one of a kind pages with mementos, but had no way to share them or have an extra copy or digital back up. The company purchased commercial printers, scanning equipment, computers, graphics software, and a computer controlled cutting system, to be able to capture, digitally store and print up to 12”x 18” scrapbook images on acid and lignin-free paper.
With the success of the business, and to meet its customers’ requests, Scrapbooks to Share expanded from scanning and printing paper scrapbooks, to printing digital scrapbook pages its customers created using any digital scrapbooking software on the market. In addition, they are able to create calendars, custom cards and other unique gifts using both paper and digital scrapbook pages.
About Lise
As an avid scrapbooker with family members all over the United States, I wanted to find a way to share my scrapbooks without having to recreate many books from scratch. There had to be a way it could be done for less money than the photos and supplies required to recreate a scrapbook page – not to mention all the time!
My husband and I started researching how to duplicate a scrapbook. We found that copy machines weren’t able to duplicate a full 12” x 12” page as the largest scan area paper copy stores had was about 11” x 17”. Commercial print shops weren’t interested in doing the work because their business is structured to make 100 copies of one page and not one copy of 100 different pages.
At that point, we realized that if we were having this much difficulty, other scrapbookers were probably equally as frustrated trying to find a way to share their albums. So, after much research, we created the best process to copy a scrapbook and create beautiful copies in a cost effective manner – and Scrapbooks to Share was born! Now, I get to help others share their precious memories.
